Cameras in the Courtroom Rule Revised, Renumbered

On January 1, 2007, revisions in the California Rules of Court renumbered several commonly used rules, including the former Rule 980, relating to media coverage of courtroom proceedings. The former Rule 980 is now Rule 1.150 and is available by clicking on the "Cameras in the Courtroom" link on the left-side navigation bar.

Procedures for filing requests to photograph in courtrooms are unchanged. The renumbered forms (now called MC-500 and MC-510) are available by clicking on the "Cameras in the Courtroom" link on the left-side navigation bar.

As in the past, all pages of forms MC-500 and MC-510 should be completed and faxed to the Public Information Office at (213) 621-7642 for consideration by judicial officers.

For further information contact the
Los Angeles Superior Court Public Information Office at (213) 974-5227.
