One-Trial Court
The San Fernando Courthouse is on the "One-Trial" jury service term. Under the One-Trial term of service, prospective jurors are placed on call for a period of five (5) days. The prospective juror is required to call in to receive instructions on whether he or she must report for service. Once instructed to report to court, and if selected to serve on a jury, the service obligation is fulfilled upon the conclusion of deliberation, whether or not a verdict is reached. The service obligation is also fulfilled if not in jury selection or selected on a jury at the end of the day when required to report. Please be prepared to accept a trial. The average trial is 5-7 days.
